I seem to recall that trumpeter, Thomas Stevens (former Principal Trumpet with the LA Phil), was talking to Doc Severinsen about Dokshizer. He said that Dokshizer played a Bach 7C mouthpiece and that some trumpet players in attendance of the clinic couldn't understand this.

If you watch his embouchure closely you should be able to spot that his mouthpiece placement appears (from the outside) to have more lower lip inside the mouthpiece. Hi everyone, just a quick note that we are working with the Dokshizer estate to re-release his method books, etudes books, do some new translations, basically anything we can to get his work back in circulation again. We started this week with his fantastic book "System of Composite Exercises.". Timofei Dokschitzer played a 7 something.
